25 April, 2018 – Holstebro, Denmark: Since launching in 2004, CeramicSpeed have been working hard to provide cyclists with the very best equipment, giving riders ease of mind when competing at the highest level – and most importantly – valuable marginal gains.

There are a number of pro teams on CeramicSpeed’s Oversized Pulley Wheels (OSPW), which offer the most efficient drivetrain performance on the market. The OSPW System optimizes the overall efficiency of the drivetrain, thanks to the extremely low friction of the CeramicSpeed Bearings and the unique design of the overall system.

Teams have also turned to CeramicSpeed’s UFO Drip Chain Coating, perfect for the gritty Spring Classics. Proven as the world’s fastest bottled product for chains, it is conveniently applied as a liquid, which then hardens into a completely dry coating – giving the riders 200km of smooth riding, whatever the weather.

Here are some recent examples of CeramicSpeed helping riders achieve great things in the pro peloton:

At Paris Roubaix, Silvan Dillier of AG2R La Mondiale had a hugely impressive ride, entering the velodrome first after spending over 200km on the attack; he matched Sagan pedal stroke for stroke but just lost out to him in the final stages of the sprint. Silvan has been using the CeramicSpeed OSPW system all season, and said:

“The OSPW System worked extremely well on the cobblestones. I didn’t have a single shifting problem nor any other interruptions that could arise from the demanding pavé…

“I would recommend it to all the stylers out there who want to be both different and benefit from valuable marginal gains.”

Another achievement of the season so far came from Romain Bardet of AG2R La Mondiale with an aggressive and very well deserved second place, after an epic ride at this year’s Strade Bianche.

Romain dominated the steep gravel road climbs of southern Tuscany and went on the attack in heavy rain and mud; a lead which he held until 15 km to go. Bardet said:

“I’m delighted to use CeramicSpeed products – they are the best on the market in terms of drivetrain efficiency. With the OSPW System I can be sure that I’m not wasting any watts while pedalling.”

The OSPW System worked flawlessly during the extreme and muddy conditions at Strade Bianche, allowing me to push harder on the gravel. In cycling, every single watt counts. Being able to save some to ride faster for longer can make all the difference in the end.”

Team Sky just knocked 99% of their rivals out of the Tour de France today. With shades of US Postal in the era of Lance Armstrong’s total dominance, Bradley Wiggins’ Team Sky threw their boys on the front of the peloton, and said boys then rode a savage tempo, breaking all but two of the major contenders off the back of the bunch. So, was Lance's bike nobbled in the 2003 Tour? I'm referring to the rubbing rear brake story... "Media hype, the calliper was probably bumped against a wall or another bike on the way to the start." When the man telling you this is one of Big Tex's mechanics and a no-nonsense Nottingham man to boot you cannot argue. Eh - a Nottingham man? You thought that Lance's personal mechanic was Belgian?
