Ribble Cycles launched their all-new Ribble Collective today – a group of talented individual privateer riders competing across multiple cycling disciplines, who will be ‘Riding As One’ with the support of Ribble.

The Ribble Collective is a group of diverse, like-minded riders all sharing a true love of cycling. With the support of Ribble Cycles, the Ribble Collective riders will be able to set and achieve their own cycling goals across the year.

As well as being brand ambassadors, they will also test products in the real world, providing valuable feedback, gain support and encouragement from each other and help to inspire a wider audience to get involved with cycling.

The Ribble Collective will be racing on a mixture of bikes from Ribble’s Ultra SL R, Endurance SL R, Gravel SL and Ultra Tri ranges.

Neil Pinkawa, Head of Brand Marketing, Ribble said;

“For 2023, we had the vision to look at the cycling landscape creatively and introduce this new model, allowing us to work in close collaboration with each individual rider and support them to achieve their own riding goals as well as telling their own unique story on two wheels.

“We are really excited about the future of the Ribble Collective and we feel we have built a strong, diverse and varied roster of riders for the 2023 season.”

To bring the Collective together, the riders will all share the same custom paint finish, comprising of a subtle teal-to-black odyssey fade, with teal decals and the all-new metallic abstract teal flicker design across the bars and forks. RC monograms and custom top caps complete the race ready machines.

The teal palette and abstract teal flicker have also been incorporated into the 2023 kit design – the result of a partnership with HUUB, which sees both brands sharing an ethos of continuous improvement, innovation and deliverance of speed across their products.

The Ribble Collective bike and kit were unveiled to the riders at the team’s launch evening at Ribble’s flagship showroom in Clitheroe before the Collective flew off for a training camp in Spain.

The Ribble Collective colourway will be available via Ribble’s online CustomColour tool and can be applied to any Aero, Endurance SL R / SL, Gravel SL or Tri models…

The Ribble Collective is a no-obligatory secondary sponsor model, with no rider having to rep a particular brand or supplier, freeing them up to obtain their own secondary sponsorship opportunities beyond Ribble. The brand partners working with The Collective simply offer those riders new to the world of being a privateer access to such brands and products in the first stages of their career.

Tour de San Luis – prequel

After an eight hour car journey, fourteen hours in planes and a lot of hanging around, came the bus ride from Mendonza to San Luis. Mendonza is a wine producing region and is heavily farmed. For hundreds of kilometers there are well arranged crop and dispersed housing, like an endless suburb. It's not picturesque.

We Know That We Don’t Know (Preview: TDF12 St14)

Cadel Evans’ aggressive riding late in Stage 13, and the subsequent carnage and one day style “balls to the wall” racing has assured us of one thing this Tour: we don’t know what’s next! Today is a day with two large climbs a long way out from the finish, the second including ramps up to 18%, and peaking some 40km from the finish. The descent ends about 20km from the line, and the whole stage is right by the southern coastline again, bringing wind into the equation.

Our Last Rant of 2013 – Happy New Year!

VeloVeritas thanks you for reading in 2013, hopes that you are having a good holiday season, enjoyed the company of family and friends, ate and drank too much and didn’t have too many arguments. We’ve now entered that no man’s land between Christmas and New Year and whilst we’ll do our best to keep the interviews coming from the track men who are making the boards hum, the rising talents and the men who skim through the mud as sweetly Fred Astaire coming down a staircase – the year cannot be let slip without a rant.

Simon Cope – Team Wiggins’ new Director Sportiv

Team Wiggins ? Fear not, VeloVeritas is on the case. Our man in Gent, Ian Whitehead informed us that his amigo of some 25 years, Simon Cope is ‘Chat Show Sensation’ (it says here) Wiggins’ DS for the new venture. We checked Mr. Cope out and he’s got the T-shirt, the DVD and the box set – originally a 34 Nomad before he turned pro and a British champion on road and track.
